This month, Our City Our Books is celebrating the One Dublin One Book 2021 selection, Leonard and Hungry Paul by Rónán Hession.
Leonard and Hungry Paul are two quiet friends who see the world differently. Using humour, stints of silence and board games, they try to steer their way through the maelstrom that is the 21st century. We are delighted that author Rónán Hession will join the meeting on Tuesday 27th of April at the start to answer questions and read from the book, before leaving the readers to discuss the novel among themselves.
Described as “the book we all need at the moment”, this charming book celebrates those underappreciated people whose gentleness and appreciation of the small things of life have the power to change the world.
We invite you to read or re-read this book and share your thoughts with us below or online using #OCOBclub
Better yet, why not attend one of our monthly book club sessions. Attendees can avail of a free copy of the book, posted to their address, but please note that places are limited. Click here to find out more about our book club.
One Dublin One Book is a Dublin City Council initiative, led by Dublin City Libraries, which encourages everyone to read a book connected with the capital city during the month of April every year.
