Book Of The Month

July’s beloved book is the exceptional, timeless Pulitzer Prize winning To Kill a Mockingbird by the legendary Harper Lee.

Although To Kill a Mockingbird is not a new title, it certainly has made an impact on our readers. This, much loved, title that has come up again and again on our readers’ survey. Some read it as teenagers, others as adults and some return to it again and again. The novel’s characters remain amongst the most memorable in fiction, with Scout’s father Atticus Finch, held up as a moral hero and model of integrity.

Since its publication in 1960, it has never been out of print. Almost 60 years on, it may still be the most widely read novel dealing with race in America.
