Curious about setting up a virtual book club? We can help ...
From chatting with readers in the city, we discovered that lots of people are missing their regular book clubs this year as we can’t come together in the ways we usually would as a result of Covid-19.
So, we thought, why not bring your book club online!
Over the last few months, the Our City Our Books team have become Zoom wizards. We’ve learned a lot about bringing people together online and we would love to help you do the same for your book club.
If you have an existing book club that you’d like to bring online, or maybe you’re thinking of starting a new virtual book club - we’d love to help.
We’re running our next Getting started with Zoom session on Wednesday 11th November to give you all the information you need to get up and running online.
Topics covered will include:
- Joining a meeting
- Using meeting controls and functions
- Scheduling and hosting a meeting
There will be lots of time for questions too, so we’d love to see you there so we can help keep your book clubs going!
Date: Wednesday 11th November
Location: Online via Zoom
If you’d simply prefer to join a new book club we were very excited to launch the official Our City Our Books book club in October.
We will be hosting two book club sessions on the last Tuesday and Thursday of each month.
If you’re missing the chats at the moment (who isn’t!), we’d love for you to join us for what we’re sure will be a series of enriching conversations.
