What are you reading right now?

Milkman by Anna Burns.

It is slow and needs to be digested but it is worthwhile.


What is your favourite book of all time?

Murphy by Samuel Beckett.


Tell us a bit about it:

It's good fun and takes in Dublin and London - great language and reminds me of the unmanageability of life and the fun of trying to manage it - in Dublin and London for leisure and for work.


What book do you remember most from your childhood?

The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Graham.

Lovely, [it's] about the animals but also about the personalities.

Which of your books is battered from using over and over again?

Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift.

Love the fun of it - I think Lilliput is Ireland having travelled abroad where everything is so much bigger.

Beloved by Toni Morrison.

Has to be read- everyone will get their own take from it.
